Zetox (also called Ziltox) is a planet that exists 9,000,000,000 miles from Earth in The Flintstones franchise and serves as the homeworld of The Great Gazoo and his species, the Zetoxians.

Geography[]
Zetox is a small planet with a red surface and no notable natural features on its barren surface, lacking mountains or large trees. Instead the planet is covered in advanced Zetoxian cities, with the only examples of nature being a few coral-like trees and some beaches, but it has no large oceans, only very large streams.
History[]
Zetox is a world inhabited by little green men known as Zetoxians, and are ruled over by the mysterious and powerful Gazaam the Mighty.
Some time prior to the episode "The Great Gazoo", the Great Gazoo himself tried inventing a device that could destroy the universe (although he did not intend to use it). For his misdeed, he was arrested by the Zetoxian military and banished to the planet Earth by Gazaam to serve whoever found him until he learned the benefits of helping others as well to get him out of Zetox.
Upon arriving on Earth, Gazoo went into the service of Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble, trying numerous times to "help" them in his own way to prove himself to his people and return home, with little success, as his attempts to ask his leaders for a pardon always fall on deaf ears as seen in "Two Men on a Dinosaur".
In The Great Gazoo comics, Gazoo usually devises a way to return home (either through deception or exploiting the mercy of his leaders), but every time he seems to succeed, he (or Fred and Barney) manages to mess up things again or he realizes that he misses Fred and Barney (and vice versa) and hesitantly returns to stay on Earth to be with them. In the final issue of the comics, his leaders are finally fed up with Gazoo's antics and his attempts to "help" Fred and Barney, and arrest him once and for all, believing him to be beyond redemption, but Fred and Barney travel to Zetox (using one of Gazoo's ship) and break into the Zetox prison and free Gazoo and invite him to stay with them from now as their friend. Gazaam having witnessed all of this, and how much Fred and Barney cared for Gazoo, decides to let Gazoo be free.
Flora & Fauna[]
As Zetox is mostly barren, it doesn't have as much plant and animal life as on Earth, especially since Zetoxians have no need for animal appliances thanks to their advanced technology. Their only examples of plant life are coral-like trees and biting flowers. Despite its urban and barren landscape, some animals do roam the planet.
- Zil-Zil: Small and friendly little creatures that eat rocks and reproduce at a rapid rate by splitting into two. Normally harmless on Zetox where rocks are scarce, but dangerous on Earth where they once almost ate all of Bedrock.
- Ferocious Decapitator: The Zetoxian equivalent of a tyrannosaurus and the main predator of Zetoxians. It gets its name due to biting the heads off Zetoxians. Thankfully this doesn't kill Zetoxians as they can regrow new heads rather quickly.
- Zetoxian Dog: Much like Earth dogs, except they have antennas, hands and crooked tails, but are still just as friendly and loyal.
- Zetoxian Fish: Much like Earth fish, except they have antenna and feet they use to walk on land.
- Zetoxian Bird: A strange bird resembling a duck with a fish's tail, cat ears and antennas.
