"Ugly is Only Skin Deep" is the seventh and last segment of the fourth episode of the second season and the one hundred and fifth overall segment of the fifteenth overall episode of The Flintstone Comedy Show (known as Flintstone Frolics), a spin-off of the original series, The Flintstones. It aired on October 3, 1981.
Synopsis[]
Hidea and Wilma enter a beauty contest, but when they contract the Dinosaur Flu, Frank and Fred take their places. The two beauties are both declared winners, which makes the competitive Frank so angry, he literally blows his top.

- One of the people in the Bedrock Auditorium bears striking resemblances to both characters, Creepella Gruesome (as a yellow-haired lady) and Mrs. Slate (as a gray-haired lady) as cameos.
- The spiky brontosaurus featured in the episode resembles the real life Amargasaurus, which would not be discovered until 3 years after this episode aired.
