History

The Flintstones comic strips were announced on October 1, 1961 and the very first strip began on October 2, 1961, the next day after the title was announced. They were illustrated by Gene Hazelton who drew them and was assisted at one time or another by artists including Roger Armstrong, Dale Hale, Harvey Eisenberg and Jesse Marsh.

The Later Years

After McNaught went out of business in 1989, The Flintstones was picked up by Editors Press Service in 1994 and drawn by Karen D. Machette until 1998.
