"The Birthday Present" is the sixteenth and last episode of The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show, a spin-off of the original series, The Flintstones. It finally aired on January 1, 1972.
Synopsis[]
Wooly steals Pebbles' birthday present that she bought for Wilma and buries it in the backyard, leaving her in a panic. Pebbles wrongfully blames her neighbor, Creepella Gruesome for the crime, which also disrupts a family reunion that the Gruesomes are throwing.
Plot[]
Next door neighbor, Creepella Gruesome visits and, when she leaves, Pebbles notices that her hidden birthday gift for her mother, Wilma is also gone. Not knowing that her pet Wooly has buried the gift in the back yard, Pebbles and the kids volunteer to babysit little Gobby Gruesome and his pet spider, Schneider so they can search the mansion.
They can’t find it so they head to the Gruesome family reunion at the Marina Del Rock in disguise, after leaving Gobby with Wilma and Betty. Fred and Barney see the kids on the way home from bowling, worry that the Gruesomes have turned them into “creeps” and follow.
Bamm-Bamm’s disguise happens to be the same as that of a wanted peeping-Tom named the Creepasaurus. He scares some other boat owners and they call the police. Fred and Barney get trapped in a runaway boat, Bamm-Bamm and Moonrock go after them, the police follow them, and the girls pursue. Finally, they all collide. The police can’t understand what’s going on so they take everyone downtown where Pebbles explains everything to a judge.
Wilma and Betty arrive with Gobby and Wilma has the missing gift that Wooly dug up. Pebbles apologizes to the Creepella and her family for what she did, which the Gruesomes accept (they're very understanding towards her). Later, everyone celebrates Wilma’s birthday. It’s her birthday wish that Pebbles will judge people more fairly in the future.
