Rockbottom K. "Rocky" Flintstone is Fred Flintstone's paternal grandfather, a Stone World War I veteran hero and flier and a one-time character of the episode, "The Story of Rocky's Raiders", featured in the sixth and final season of the original series, The Flintstones.

Background

Physical Appearance

Rocky is a tall and stout caveman which he's exactly the same as Fred. During the flashbacks in this episode, he has thick black eyebrows and black hair exactly the same as Fred's and at the end, he now has white hair, a white mustache and thick white eyebrows.

Outfits

During the flashbacks in this episode, he wears his turtle-shell helmet, an olive green army loin-cloth with gold accessories and dark grey buckles. While driving his plane, he also wears a light olive-green scarf, goggles, a brown helmet, and dark-green foot sleeves.

Disguised as a German soldier to rescue Mata Harrock from the villainous Baron Von Rickenrock, he wears a gray loin-cloth with two gold buttons and a spiked helmet.

At the end of this episode, he also wears a grayish-purple loin cloth with a primrose-pink bow-tie.

Role in the episode

At the end of the episode, when Rocky arrived at the Flintstone home for his visit, Fred, Wilma, Barney and Betty Rubble were stunned to discover that the war between Rocky and the Baron Von Rickenrock was still being waged in air combat, with the same Stone Age flying machines.
