"Pebbles' Big Boast" is the seventh episode of The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show, a spin-off of the original series, The Flintstones. It aired on October 23, 1971.

Synopsis[]

Pebbles lies to Cindy, claiming that she is friends with the members of a popular rock band called the Rolling Boulders with Mick Jadestone. In order to prove her popularity, Pebbles wants to track down the band and get them to perform for her friends.

Notes/Trivia[]

  • The Hiltrock Hotel is obviously based on the Hilton chain.
  • Note that Mr. Ball, the owner of the bowling alley, looks a lot like Mr. Slate.
  • Fred, Pebbles' father also boasted that he could get a rock singer to come to a party, in the episode, "The Twitch", featured in the third season of the original series, The Flintstones.
  • The clip of the ending from this episode with a defeated Cindy and Moonrock, Wiggy and Schleprock dancing was used for the intro and outro from The Flintstone Comedy Hour.
  • Mick Jadestone is a spoof of Mick Jagger.
