Parasaurus (also called the Parasaur (for short) or Parasaurolophus) is a species of crested hadrosaur (a group of duck-billed dinosaurs) which existed during the Stone Age featured in the franchise of The Flintstones.
Background[]
Parasaurus was a large bipedal dinosaur (although they could walk on all fours when used as automobiles) with stair-like ridges on their back, crested head and beak-like mouth, making their heads resemble those of a pterodactyl.
Uses[]
They rarely saw much use compared to most other dinosaurs and were not as commonly seen, however at least two were used as a car and a bus in I Yabba-Dabba Do! and one as a snow plow in A Flintstones Christmas Carol. They were also edible and their meat could be braised and served at weddings.
