Mr. Slate is a poor husband and father, who was in debt with Buddy Buddy Credit Jewelers for buying an expensive toaster from them.
Physical Appearance[]
Mr. Slate is a tall and stout caveman with fair skin, tan stubbles, a bald head with three hair strands, chest hairs, black eyes, thick black eyebrows and wears a light-green loincloth with a torn hemline and a white hat with a black center stripe.

- Mr. Slate was voiced by Bill Thompson who had also voiced Droopy from Tex Avery, Touché Turtle and other animated characters including the White Rabbit from Disney's Alice in Wonderland and Mr. Smee from Disney's Peter Pan for example.
