The Ice Age Box (also called an Ice Box or simply either a Fridge or a Rock-frigerator) is the name for Stone Age refrigerators which first appeared in the episode, "The Split Personality" of the first season of the original series, The Flintstones and is Fred's most favorite appliance for obvious reasons.

Background

True to its name, the Ice Age Box is always packed full of ice to keep its stored food preserved for extended periods. Such a miracle of modern stone age engineering is possible thanks to its built-in penguinsaurus ice maker which is somehow capable of manufacturing ice on its own so long as the door is kept shut.

Description

The Ice Age Box is a large white storage appliance made of solid rock with either stone or wooden handles for easy access.
