Gold Key Comics was an imprint of Western Publishing created for comic books distributed to newsstands, operating from 1962 to 1984. Western would also sell under the Whitman Comics brand. In 1967, Gold Key also reprinted a number of selected issues of their comics under the title Top Comics. The majority of Gold Key's titles were licensed from TV and movie studios, it took over the Hanna-Barbera licence on The Flintstones and other tiles from Dell Comics in 1962.
