Frankenstone Manor is a creepy old mansion and a location in The Flintstone Primetime Specials, The Flintstone Comedy Show and The Flintstone Funnies, first appearing in The Flintstones' New Neighbors.

Background[]

Frankenstone Manor is the home of the Frankenstone Family where Frank Frankenstone lives along with his wife, Hidea, their son Freaky, their daughter Atrocia, their maid Rockelle and their many monstrous pets. It is a mobile home usually moved around via bronto-power whose location is constantly changing but is usually located in Bedrock either next door to the Flintstone home in a formerly empty lot or somewhere on the end of Cobblestone Way.

Originally the Frankenstones lived in the Deadrock Arms Condorstonium, a boarding house they managed during their first appearance in The New Fred and Barney Show episode "Fred and Barney Meet the Frankenstones", before eventually moving near the Flintstone Family.

Description[]

Exterior[]

It is a tall and intimidating tower-like home in the shape of a large blue stalagmite or mountain that for some peculiar reason always has an ominous little thunder cloud floating over its roof that's constantly shooting off lightning. Several vulturedactyls dot the manor's surface and the largest windows combined with the front door give the illusion of the manor having a ghastly face.

Interior[]

The interior of the manor is dismal and cavern-like, and being poorly lit in general. Most of their furniture consists of antiques and Rocksylvanian mementos. The manor has countless rooms, some of which defy explanation, with some even being immune to gravity or being haunted by completely bizarre creatures. A large grass carpet dots the main living room which is actually a living creature with rocktopus-like tentacles.
