Chickenasauruses (also known as Chickenosauruses, Henasauruses and Chickasauruses, or Roostersauruses in case of the males) are a species of domesticated prehistoric birds which existed during the Stone Age featured in the franchise of The Flintstones.

Chickenasauruses mostly resembled modern day chickens but with reptilian or pterodactyl-like traits, such as crests on their heads, spiky ridges and some lacking feathers and having scales instead.
At least two specimens from "The Hit Songwriters" however looked like regular modern day chickens, with feathers, combs and all.

Roostersaurus Alarm Clocks[]

Chickenasauruses, or more specifically the male roostersauruses were mainly kept and used as alarm clocks while larger ones were kept around neighborhoods to wake whole communities at once. However, cuckoodactyls proved more popular as alarm clocks due to their catchier jingle and ability to also act as radios.
Chickenasaurus Costumes[]
Costumes based on the likeness of chickenasauruses seemed fairly popular in Bedrock, with said costumes always present at every costumed event and in every costume shop or in town.
Culinary Uses[]
Chickenasauruses were also edible, with chickenasaurus drumsticks, fricassees and soups being somewhat common, however they were not as popular as pterodactyl and dodo bird dishes due to the commonly small size of chickenasauruses.

- In the episode "The Rock Vegas Story" from the original series, Fred subtly acknowledges how humorously odd it is for regular chickens to exist in the Stone Age of The Flintstones after he and Barney saw some chicken fricassee listed at the Bedrock Rock-O-Mat.
