Snakeasauruses (known simply as Snakes) are a species of reptiles which existed during the Stone Age featured in the franchise of The Flintstones.

Background

Snakeasauruses were small or large elongated, legless and carnivorous reptiles with variously colored skin, white fangs and forked tongues.

Uses

Because of their venomous nature, they rarely saw much use compared to most other reptiles and were not as commonly seen.

Culinary Uses

They were rarely edible, as their food could be made into Vipers Vinaigrette and Three Cobra Soup which were only available in "The Gourmet Dinner".

Notes/Trivia

• Despite its physical appearances in the original Hanna-Barbera run of the franchise, a Snakeasaurus made a notable appearance in the episode, "Caveman Begins" from Yabba-Dabba Dinosaurs.
