Duckasauruses (also known as Rock-Ducks or simply Ducks) are a species of birds which existed during the Stone Age and featured in the franchise of The Flintstones.

Background[]

Duckasauruses were medium winged birds with orange bills, orange webbed feet and colored feathers in their heads and necks and variously colored feathers in their tails and wings (including white, yellow, green or bluish-gray). Some usually had a pterodactyl-like crest on the top of their heads.

Uses[]

According to the franchise of The Flintstones and unlike other birds that were commonly used including pterodactyls, Duckasauruses were used such as horns which they were used in cavemobiles with their tails pulled or their bodies squeezed by cavepeople to make honking sounds with their bills.

Culinary Uses[]

Unlike pterodactyls that were commonly used for food, Duckasauruses were rarely used specifically for their meat including one from an October 26, 1963 comic strip.
