Dragonsauruses (also called Dragonasauruses, Dragon-O-Sauruses or simply Dragons) are a species of fire-breathing reptiles which existed during the Stone Age featured in the franchise of The Flintstones.
Background[]
Dragonsauruses were large, green, four-legged reptiles that could walk on all fours as well as on two legs and usually had spiky ridges on their backs, as well as horns and tails that ended with a spiked triangular tip. Their most notable trait though was their unique ability to breath fire.
Uses[]
Dragonsauruses were mostly valued for their uses as sources of heat, with many used to light and heat up stoves, irons, toasters, ovens, presses, lamps (most of which reserved for smaller dragons) which saved time on lighting fires.
Dragon-Engines[]

A Dragon-Train Special.
Because of their speed and strength, dragonsauruses were valued as "engines" for certain vehicles like blimps or trains, eventually replacing brontosaurus-powered trains thanks to their greater speed.
Dragon-Trains[]
Dragon-Trains were the most popular for dragon-engines, having replaced the previous bronto-models. With it easily being able to pick up and pull many carts at once and run at blazing speeds. Witnessing one while in motion or even while asleep was considered a wonder.
Culinary Uses[]
Dragonsauruses were normally not eaten (except by more eccentric Rocksylvanian sorts, such as the Gruesomes, the Frankenstones and their friends and relatives), instead their true value in the kitchen was to help cook and prepare food, as their heated breath could make cooking a snap and would save much time without having to start a fire or wait for the stone ovens to heat up.
Drago-Toaster[]

A Drago-Toaster.
Drago-Toasters were the most popular in bread-toasting technology, being superior to the tedious candle-lit variant and they were also enjoyed for their stylish design. Two mini-dragons were tied to the device and by a press of a button their tails would be pulled and they would instantly heat up toast to the desired crispiness until the button was released. Holding the button too long though could result in a rather burnt breakfast.
Drago-Popper[]

A Drago-Popper.
Miniature and ticklish dragonsauruses which were used to make popcorn. By tickling their bellies, they would puff out a small flame that would turn kernels into popcorn in an instant. They enjoyed frequent use at amusement parks, movie theaters, drive-ins and at the Bedrock Bowl.
Rock-O-Wave Oven[]

A large model Rock-O-Wave oven.
Rock-O-Wave Ovens were the latest in cooking appliances, being instant cookers that could heat up meals in an instant for Bedrockians on the go. Simply put the desired food in the stone oven and the dragonsaurus unit will have it ready in minutes. However the oversized dragonsaurus-powered units were eventually replaced with smaller variants that instead of fire could produce strange heated radiation.
Breeds[]
There were several types that varied in size and appearance, but the majority usually had spiky ridges on their backs or on their heads along with sharp teeth, and others had horns or a triangular spike on the tip of their tails, with all sharing the ability to breath fire or release heat in some way.
Mini-Dragons[]
Mini-Dragons (also called Little Dragons) are a very small breed of dragonsauruses and the ones mostly commonly used as appliances. According to a little dragon in "Bachelor Daze", there was a time when cavemen thought there would be no use for them.
Winged Dragonsauruses[]

The Frankenstones' winged dragon from "First Family Fiasco".
Winged Dragonsauruses are a very rare kind of dragonsauruses that had wings, specifically Captain Caveman and Atrocia Frankenstone's pet dragons were the only known winged variants. Although some had wings too small to carry them. Aside from them, dragonsauruses were normally wingless.
Schizosaurus[]

Schizosauruses are large two-headed dragonsauruses with violent tempers that will burn down entire towns and eat anything in their way and its usually the job of the stone age army's barbarian corps to exterminate these unwanted terrors. However they can be tamed with some tasty bronto-burgers, in which case they make great grills with plenty of fire to spare. Fred once had to fight one of the creatures during one of his brief stints in the army after the beast had destroyed the town of Pumice. Barney also once disguised himself as one to get his hands on Fred's Pebbles Cereal.
