DC Comics, Inc. (founded in 1934 as National Allied Publications) is the publishing arm of DC Entertainment, one of the largest and most successful companies (with Marvel Comics) operating in the market for American comic books and related media. Popular superheroes include Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.

DC has twice held the license to publish original comics based upon The Flintstones and other Hanna-Barbera titles: in the late 1990s (taking over from Archie Comics) and again in the mid-2010s. The 2016-17 series was notable for "reimagining" the series in a more modern, serious style (an approach taken by DC to a number of other H-B properties at the time, most successfully Scooby-Doo, which was reimagined as a post-apocalyptic thriller).
