"Better Buddy Blues" is the first segment of the first episode of the second season and the twenty-seventh overall episode of The Flintstone Kids, a spin-off of the original series, The Flintstones. It aired on September 19, 1987.

Synopsis

All the kids are smitten with a new "cool" kid from Hollyrock, Shades Stone. Freddy thinks he's got a new best buddy, but in reality Fred's become Shade's personal slave. Feeling left out, Barney runs away to live in the local swamp and Freddy soon realizes what a best friend really is.
