The American Broadcasting Company (ABC; stylized in lowercase as abc) is a television network in the United States. It owned by The Walt Disney Company.

History[]

On September 30, 1960, ABC premiered Hanna-Barbera's The Flintstones although the original animated primetime series from William Hanna and Joseph Barbera was filmed in color from the beginning, it was initially broadcast in black and white, as ABC had not made the necessary technical upgrades to broadcast its programming in color at the time.

The Later Years[]

In 1986, ABC premiered the spin-off, The Flintstone Kids and its' special, The Flintstone Kids' "Just Say No" Special and in the mid-1990's, ABC aired four telefilms including I Yabba-Dabba Do!, Hollyrock-a-Bye Baby, A Flintstone Family Christmas and A Flintstones Christmas Carol.
